AI engineering / Field note

Verification before velocity

Fast AI output is useful. Independent checks make it dependable.

Generation is only a first step

AI can draft code, suggest research hypotheses and explain difficult material at remarkable speed. But a plausible answer isn't the same thing as a tested answer.

What makes a claim convincing?

Across science and mathematics, explanations become stronger when assumptions are clear and conclusions can be evaluated against evidence. This is a general principle of scientific reasoning, not a description of any private research system.

The broader lesson

Speed can be valuable, but thoughtful evaluation of evidence remains essential when claims matter.
